Click on the Database tab and then click the Output link. Choose Download an Email List and select the list(s) you would like to output. Click Continue. Follow the instructions provided for copying email addresses into your email program.
There are many reasons that emails may be returned to you, even if the address used was correct. Companies may switch servers and contacts often change their email addresses. As with all ADBASE data, our email addresses are constantly being updated and are guaranteed to be 95% accurate.
When an email cannot be delivered successfully due to an initial bounce you may receive a delivery error at the email address you specified in the campaign’s Delivery Options. You can forward all delivery error emails to bounces@adbase.com and we will credit the bounced emails back to you. Our Research Department investigates bounced emails to determine whether corrections are required. If the delivery error was caused by a soft bounce instead of a hard bounce Emailer will automatically make several attempts to resend your campaign to these contacts. Please note that delivery errors are not the same as submit errors and are not eligible for Amazon gift certificate rewards.
When downloading your email list select the Line Separated option instead of the Comma Separated option under Format. Then copy and paste the email addresses as usual.
No. Since most people do not have their Adobe Reader properly set up in order to view PDF versions, it would not be a good idea to send PDF versions of your promo cards. In addition, due to the number of viruses that are now being sent through email, many people simply do not open file attachments.
Technically this is possible by downloading a data file from our website and importing that into the other program (see your software manual for further instructions on importing).
We suggest that you consider very carefully whether you really want to do this or not. There are two main issues that arise when our data is imported into another program, particularly if it is merged with another database. First, if you choose not to renew your subscription when it expires and continue to use the merged database you will be in violation of our license agreement. Second, and more practically, once you import the data there is no efficient way to keep it up-to-date. You cannot re-import the data in the future without creating many duplicates and keeping old deleted contacts.
To avoid this, we suggest that you keep a separate database in ACT with your "hot" sales contacts, and use ADBASE as your "cold" database for executing your mailings. When you speak to someone new, use ADBASE to get all their information and input them into your ACT sales database. By doing this, you need only keep your smaller ACT database up-to-date and you avoid any potential licensing issues.
