Import Contacts / Step 1: Add a Single Contact
When importing contacts into Contact Manager you must provide a valid source file. Contact Manager accepts data files that are Tab or Comma Delimited with the following extensions: .csv .tsv .txt .tab
Spreadsheet and database programs (such as FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Excel & Access, etc.) all have the ability to export records into data files. If you are experiencing difficulty importing a data file into Contact Manager, please contact ADBASE Customer Support for assistance.
To import contacts into Contact Manager using a data file, click the Contact Manager tab.

Click Import Contacts in the top menu.

Import Contacts / Step 2: Select Data Source
Click Browse to select the file you wish to import into Contact Manager. If the first row of your file contains column headings, place a check in the box next to First row has column headings.
Once you have selected your data file, click Continue to Preview.

Import Contacts / Step 3: Preview Imported Data
On the Preview tab, confirm that your data appears correctly. If your data does not appear correctly, click Start Again to import a different file. If your data is correct, click Continue to Options.

- Update previously imported contacts: Select this option if you want to update a group of contacts you previously imported. On the Map Fields tab, use the dropdown menus to match the fields from your imported data file to corresponding fields in Contact Manager. Note: Last Name and Company are mandatory fields. Skipped fields will remain blank for your contacts.
When you have finished mapping fields, click Continue to Groups.
